Visiting Lyon's Festival of Lights is officially on my to-do list after seeing the Bourrasque light sculpture. London-based designer Paul Cocksedge created this mesmerizing sculpture designed to mimic a mass amount of paper caught in a strong wind.
Cocksedge has designed a sculpture similar to the Bourrasque light sculpture before, but 'A Gust of Wind' is not lit and didn't rise nearly as high. The entire piece is 82 feet long and was made up of 200 sheets of "paper." The Bourrasque light sculpture stands at an impressive 49 feet at its highest point. Each piece of paper is molded to look like an actual sheet of paper but is made out of an electrically conductive material that lights up when a current passes through it.
