Boost adds a new option to the roster in the realm of electric bike conversion kits in the form of a circular battery pack. It sits inside a bottle cage and easily mounts onto the downtube instead of wires in controllers and more. Boost adds the kit to the back, which allows the initial installation to be much more intensive.
It requires adding a cassette, the string in the chain, and more. After this initial installation, riders only need to screw in the bottle cage and secure a wire that runs from the back of the wheel along the downtube. Additionally, unlike other conversion kits, the Boost is screenless due to the torque sensors that are included with the motor.
