French fries are one of the most popular items at McDonald's and now the chain's Japanese arm is looking to take thedish to the next level by topping the side with bolognese sauce and cheese.
Dubbed the 'Try Pour Some Cheese Bolognese' fries, the new dish consists of McDonald's signature fries topped with a meaty bolognese sauce and melted cheese. The sauce itself is made from a combination of ground beef and pork, as well as caramelized onions, tomatoes, black pepper, and garlic, for a rich, yet deep tomato flavor. White cheddar cheese is also added to give the dish its cheesy texture. The result is a hybrid, Italian-inspired take on the chain's signature side.
Available from February 28 to late March, the new dish is perfect for curious foodies.
