At the Microsoft Build conference, BMW unveiled 'BMW Connected,' an app that's designed to be a smart companion for the car. Some of the tasks that this app will be able to help out with include being able to remotely check a car's location, fuel levels, turn on the air conditioning or unlock doors. App users will also be able to reserve parking spaces, find nearby mechanics and locate fuel stations. In addition to being able to locate charging points, owners of hybrid BMW models will also be able to check battery charge.
Beyond these features, the app is also able to learn from a driver's habits and adjust its systems accordingly. BMW Connected will also offer predictive navigation based on a user's calendar or commonly used routes.
As of now, the BMW Connected app is available as a free download for North American BMW drivers with an iPhone.
