Birkenstock celebrates the 60th anniversary of the brand's Zurich silhouette by giving it a new makeover, forming the Bimshire silhouette. This is done in collaboration with streetwear imprint Union Los Angeles and the two blend elements borrowed from the Birkenstock Zurich with the classic Boston clog silhouette. Overall, it has a familiar look and feel as it is a hybrid of beloved models.
The brands integrate components from both shoes as the round-toe suede material is from the Boston. The canvas overlay that is wrapped with leather straps is directly from the Zurich. It comes in a light colorway range including taupe, gray, and a sandy pint -- this nods to Chris Gibbs, founder of Union, and his Bajan heritage.
