3D printing is making it faster and easier than ever for anyone to create bespoke shoes, but the art of making shoes by hand is also dying in the process. However, Prada revived the art and exclusivity that comes with custom shoes with its 'Made to Order' service, which was only offered at its London location on Sloane Street for two days on March 26th and 27th.
Prized Prada customers were invited to order a custom shoe, choosing from nine different shoe styles, five heel heights and three sole colors. For extra personalization, alongside the Prada logo on the bottom of the shoe, consumers also had the chance to add their initials. The custom Prada shoes will take a month to make and will be delivered to recipients in custom, matching boxes.
