The Bee'ah Headquarters in Sharjah Will Be Fully Energy Efficient

UK-based architectural giant Zaha Hadid Architects has revealed preliminary details surrounding the new headquarters for Bee'ah, the Middle Eastern environmental waste management company. The project will be situated on a massive 90,000 square meter plot in the emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, with the headquarters themselves measuring 7,000 square meters.


The project is looking to gain LEED Platinum certification, and will likely run solely using renewable energy sources. The building will also serve as a center of learning to promote environmental awareness in the area. It is oriented in order to maximize breeze for natural ventilation.

The Bee'ah headquarter's energy needs will be met by a massive solar panel array, while energy will also be harnessed from recycled waste which will be converted in a waste processing plant nearby.
