Gilded Banana Lights

These Quirky Banana Light Artworks Pair with a Unique Art Installation

Studio Job created a banana light collection that perfectly mimics the real fruit, but as lamps that have golden skin. Each banana light is peeled open so the portion of the skin acts a as lamp stand, while the banana inside transforms into the glowing yellow light bulb.

There are seven unique styles of banana-mimicking lamps. Five are presented in slightly different upright poses depending on how the banana peel is situated. There is also a wall-mounted lamp and an oversized standing lamp.

These lavish lamps are part of an artistic display titled 'The Banana Show' that is on display at the Belgium Samuel Vanhoegaerden Gallery. The entire art show is dedicated to honoring the bold yellow fruit. The banana exhibition can be viewed at the Samuel Vanhoegaerden Gallery until late September this year.
