The Baby DJ School in Brooklyn, New York was founded by Natalie Elizabeth Weiss, who was inspired to create the unusual center for kids after letting a child experiment with her laptop and some DJ equipment.
The school introduces kids as young as three to "music that is super dope." Unlike other mom and baby music programs, this one introduces young ones to electro, house and hip-hop instead of Raffi and Kidz Bop. As well as being a fun experience for parents and babies, the Baby DJ School also helps kids to hone their motor skills, spatial reasoning and learn language.
Natalie Elizabeth Weiss herself is a DJ and composer who has shared stages with notable acts like LCD Soundsystem and the Dirty Projectors. Perhaps she will share the stage again with some great musical talent that will come out of the Baby DJ School.
