Sweemo hopes to do for experiences what eBay did for products. Their slogan? "Live more than one life."

The UK company, whose name stands for "sweet moments," allows people to bid on thrilling experiences like extreme speed sailing on the Hugo Boss luxury yacht, a luxury getaway complete with Ferrari F430, dinner at home with a personal chef or a 15 second cameo in a movie.

Sweemo connects "those who have with those who want to," according to the company.

Sweemo says the site can be used to:

Buy - a meeting with celebrities and other exciting opportunities.
Sell - your access to the coolest parties or exclusive experiences.
Swap - to share your life with our global community.
Request - that backstage pass or introduction to stardom.

A few years ago, American Express tried a similar concept, Blue Pay, for bidding on experiences, but it failed. Sweemo thinks they have a shot, however, because they offer a niche luxury angle. Shopping on the site is free, and listing prices start at GBP 1.50 for those who have something to offer.

The experiences offered include entertainment, adrenaline, lifestyle, travel and groups.

"Sweemo gives everyone the opportunity to access special experiences that simply aren't available in any other marketplace," said Jay Nguyen, managing director of Sweemo. "We are motivating and inspiring people to recognise the incredible experiences within their own lives and making them available to others. They can be weird, wild or wonderfulâ€"so long as they can be enjoyed."
