Avanti Fellows is an organization whose founder won the 2013 Echoing Green fellow. The way it works is simple. Avanti, which is based in Mumbai, India, has an affordable after-school program that works with disadvantaged high-school students in an effort to help them pass their entrance exams so that they can attend college.
Krishna Ramkumar, who is a 2013 Echoing Green Fellow in the education category, is the co-founder of Avanti, along with Akshay Saxena, who also co-founded the organization. They are a pair of entrepreneurs hoping to create change in how education and schooling works all around India. They are both Echoing Green Fellows.
