Waymo is Testing Internet Connection in Its Self-Driving Cars

Waymo has undergone testing for autonomous car wifi, the testing was conducted in Phoenix in the company's 'One' program. The test provides riders with connecting while in the Waymo self-driving car. The tests date back to April of this year, and it serves to separate Waymo from other autonomous car providers.

Waymo has indicated the autonomous car wifi will have no cap to the usage. The feature is currently only in use for a subset of riders in the Waymo One program. The company has not stated how many riders have access to the program.
