Unlike most rectangular rugs that stay within the confines of their borders, the Doodle asymmetrical rugs from cc-tapis feature creations from designer Faye Toogood that are irregular and organic. The painterly rugs mix abstract shapes with soft watercolor textures on a scale that blows up the designer's personal "doodle" artworks.
The Doodles rug collection is knotted by hand in Nepal by Tibetan artisans working with Himalayan wool and 40 uniquely dyed colors. As well as being rich with visual details, the asymmetrical rugs are also full of texture, as there are varying heights and some parts that are smoother and others that are more piled.
The boundary-breaking artful rugs are set to go on display at the cc-tapis showroom for a limited time this fall in Milan and will be exhibited alongside the designer's hand-created artworks.
