'Nouveau-riche' French soccer team AS Monaco announced that Nike will be the club's official supplier of match kits, training kits and equipment starting from the 2014-15 season. Along with the announcement, AS Monaco and Nike revealed the club's kit for next season, which uses a simple design consisting of red and white diagonal halves.
AS Monaco stars Radamel Falcao, Eric Abidal and Geoffrey Kondogbia were among the players who unveiled the new home kit at the La Turbie training center, which overlooks the Principality of Monaco.
Unlike recent versions of the kit, which sported a red sleeve and a white sleeve, this new version features white sleeves on both sides. This is reminiscent of AS Monaco's kit from 1960, which was the first time the team wore the red-and-white diagonal halves design as well as the first time the club won the French championship.
The shirt has a red polo neck collar, and boasts a refreshed club crest to symbolize the start of an exciting new era for AS Monaco.
