American imprint Artistree Home creates a new dynamic treehouse that embodies a vaulted structure rising off of the grounds, dubbed the Spyglass by Hometree. It is located in Sonoma County, California, and centers around a large redwood tree that acts as the support foundation of the home. It also has a bridge with a single-step entry section made from a black metal deck cantilever for more support.
The product designer at Aristree Home, Will Beilharz explains to Dezeen, "The design for Spyglass came from that whimsical childhood moment of turning a fallen leaf into a little tube to peer through. With a dynamic cut on either end, the cylindrical shape takes on the dynamic movement of the folded leaf."
