The Babelgum Metropolis Art Prize is an artistic film competition which artists enter by submitting videos of their work. Entries include performance art, painting, photography, sculpture, installation and new media.
A pretty good $30,000 prize fund is offered too. Voting is open and you can judge the entries along-side the likes of Isabella Rossellini.
Best of all I love that fact that the winning films will appear on monitors in New York’s Times Square. Public film premiers are clearly the way forward.
