Artist Wolfgang Buttress designed the recently completed UK pavilion in Milan ahead of the World Expo 2015. The mesmerizing structure resembles the patterns found in a honeycombed beehive, created to appear within the pavilion at large as if to be emerging from a wildflower meadow. The theme for the 2015 World Expo is "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life," and will be on between May and October.
The dizzying buzzworthy installation will play host to a variety of UK-focused World Expo events, including a showcase of the National History Museum's wildlife photography exhibit and a demonstration of sustainable British fashion innovations.
There will also be British chefs like Angela Hartnett will be on-hand to create gourmet food experiences made from UK-sourced ingredients.
