NL Architects has won the competition to build the ArtA Arnhem cultural center, located in the Netherlands. Judging from the photo, it looks like the proposed design has a step-like construction for the roof, with each level featuring greenery on the top.
The center will feature both a museum and a theater, with the hopes of bringing together a diverse range of creative individuals to collaborate and work. The deciding panel was extremely impressed with the submission, stating that "the architects fully appreciate what the city of Arnhem needs at this location." NL Architects took into consideration the surrounding area, and were sure to respond to these conditions and how they would be incorporated in the final structure in terms of safety and how the public will interact with the design.
