The Art Vault and Valuables Service is an 11-story storage facility turned public art project in Miami, Florida.
The structure, which won an American Architecture Award for 2009, will be covered in canvased boxes which will be transformed into eclectic visual wonders by various artists.
"The panels will be commissioned to both emerging and established artists on a rotating basis so as to project a facade that is always changing, always showcasing the latest talent, and beloved masters," Optimaldesign says of the Art Vault. "This prototype will be unlike any other storage facility in North America."
The Art Vault and Valuables Service, or simply The Vault, as it's being referred to, is expected to be completed in 2011.
