Casio G-SHOCK's newest timepiece is the Arashi-Tuchime G2000HA-1A watch. The highly captivating piece is constructed using a traditional Japanese hammering technique, embodying the samurai spirit. The watch was crafted in collaboration with Biho Asano, a third-generation master craftsman. Every single watch is individually hammered, with an artistic titanium guard finish. Every offering is one-of-a-kind due to the unique textures created by the hammering technique.
The Arashi-Tuchime G2000HA-1A watch wears several tones of copper and a deep violet, influenced by the suaka copper materials and the murasaki-gane metals. The timepiece is also encrusted with sapphires, crystal, with a titanium band and case that are treated with a special hardening process to increase its longevity. The Arashi-Tuchime G2000HA-1A is solar-powered and also has a three-way time sync regulated with either GPS or Bluetooth connectivity. Additionally, it has a water resistance of up to 200 meters, an alarm clock, a stopwatch, timer, auto calendar, LED light and the ability to tell time across 39 world cities.
The watch will be priced at $7,400 and will be available starting July this year at select jeweler locations and NYC's G-SHOCK.
