Appleton Estate's Newest Hearts Collection Rum was Aged for 25 Years

Appleton Estate has just unveiled the latest addition to its prestigious Hearts Collection: a 25-year-aged 1998 vintage rum. This new release marks the eighth expression in the Hearts Collection, following previous vintages from 1994, 1995, 1999, 1984, 2003, 1993, and 2002. Renowned master blender Joy Spence meticulously curates the collection with distinguished rum collector and connoisseur Luca Gargano.

The 1998 vintage rum is distilled in traditional pot stills and matured in ex-bourbon barrels, benefiting from Jamaica's tropical climate, intensifying the barrel's influence on the rum. This prolonged aging process imparts a rich and complex character to the spirit.

The rum presents herbal fruit notes and a hint of spice on the nose, creating an inviting aromatic profile. Upon tasting, the palate is treated to a symphony of flavors including orange, ginger, espresso, banana, pineapple, cherry, oak, and dark chocolate.
