THRIVE SS, an online network and support group for LGBTQ+ Black men living with HIV, is launching a brand new app for gay Black men that is designed to leverage the power of social media to help foster a community for its members.
The web-based app will only be made available to users who are vetted by the organization and whose identities are confirmed and verified, a step that is designed to ensure the maximum level of trust necessary among people looking to take advantage of this safe space to access support and evade social stigmas that surround their situation. While the app is targeted primarily towards men who are HIV-positive, it will be open to all gay Black men.
By offering a supportive community through social media, 'THRIVE 365' is using the medium of a web-based app for gay Black men to provide community, eliminate stigma and disseminate education and information to help members of the community live fulsome and safe lives.
