Andrew J. Hunter Mashes Movie References with Everything Else

A lot of humor can be had when you take things out of context, and these Andrew J. Hunter illustrations do just that with some of pop culture's most infamous characters. Jim Henson and Kermit the Frog as Gandalf and a hobbit from Lord of the Rings? R2-D2 brandishing a sword as Link from the Legend of Zelda series? Chewbacca as a swashbuckler from Pirates of the Caribbean? Yes, yes and yes!

Andrew J. Hunter is an artist and animator living in Maine who describes his personal illustrations as "oddball." Though I don't disagree with this assessment, I do think he's selling himself a little short. Hunter is an accomplished and skilled illustrator even if his fun sense of humor didn't punctuate his creations. That it does, however, is an extremely welcomed addition.
