Photographer Andre Ermolaev has been collecting a series of aerial photographs of some of Iceland's flowing rivers that go through endless beds of volcanic ash. It is hard to believe that these works of art are actual photographs and not abstract paintings.
You would also think that given its name, Iceland would not be the first place you would think to have active volcanos. But the country is actually home to almost 30 active volcanic systems. These photographs capture the great artistry of nature in all its color and detail. The rivers create a stunning pathway down the ashen sides of the black volcanic sand.
"Iceland is a wonderful country; I would even say that it is a true paradise for all the photo shooting-lovers," says Andre.
