The COVID-19 outbreak has prompted a shift in the way many industries are forced to operate, with video-calls becoming the primary method of interaction for many professions. As a result, the popular podcast platform Anchor, owned by Spotify, recently launched a new feature to turn any video chat into a podcast.
The video-to-audio conversion tool will work with a range of video chat platforms including Zoom, Google Meet, Skype, FaceTime, Instagram Live, and Twitch as well as any .mp4 or .mov file. Anchor will also allow users to add it's built-in sound effects, background music, interludes, and Voice Recordings.
Once the video-chat has been converted to a podcast, the platform allows users to upload their content for free to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Google Podcasts, among others.
