Brazilian designer Alexandre Herchocovitch's MCD Spring/Summer 2012 lookbook has made its debut. The surfer meets streetwear line is meant for the outdoors. And yet, despite the designer's outdoorsy approach to fashion, he has chosen to showcase the pieces within a gritty warehouse space.
This industrial catalog features skateboards and surf gear. Athletic apparel goes hand in hand with the water bound theme, present in the forms of loose tank tops, swim shorts, hats and sneakers.
Herchocovitch has also managed to appeal to an upscale female demographic in spite of the durable sport-ready pieces. Lace up booties are paired with slouchy ankle socks, a look that women have remained loyal to over the past few seasons. Luxe loose-fitting dresses and graphic print oxford shirts add further feminine elements.
