Albert Watson Was Behind the Camera for a Unique Vogue Japan Shoot

Albert Watson, a photographer who's known for his work across many genres, joined with Vogue Japan to lens a series that carries heavy vintage war motifs.

Throughout it, youthful male muses sport luxurious apparel as they sit in front of a dreary dark setting. They pose with soldier's and sailor's hats, or wear other garments that are reminiscent of the same time. Contrasting with the historical clothing are some especially unique accents, such as a red and white Hawaiian-style shirt and sleeves on an olive blazer that are made to look like bird wings.

Albert Watson worked with stylist Paul Sinclaire for the Vogue Japan series and subjects included Diego of Fusion agency, Max of MSA and Will W. of Wilhelma.
