Instead of the singular opening that is customary on front-loading machines, the WW8500 AddWash has a secondary door built into the main door. This smaller opening allows consumers to add extra clothes or items such as fabric softener after a cycle has already begun. To access the smaller door, users simply need to press a button that will temporarily halt the cycle until they have added all of their extra items.
The dual-door washing machine is particularly useful for European consumers who primarily use front-loading washers.
