The Acne Studios Flagship Store in Milan is Futuristic and Feminine

The newly unveiled Acne Studios Flagship Store in Milan's Brera district features a futuristic, and feminine design.

Symmetry and contrasting textures works to give the space a futuristic feel while a pink ceiling and vast row of arched windows gives the retail store a feminine touch. The shape of the windows is mirrored on the opposing wall with stainless steel archways to give the space visual continuity. Concrete benches deliver a sense of weight to the space and are described by Acne as "ancient monuments."

Creative director Jonny Johansson commissioned an impressive lighting fixture called 'The Mega.' This futuristic fixture is attached to the pink ceiling and made from polished aluminium. The Mega is actually comprised of multiple units that maintain a consistent level of light from day to night. Daylight floods into the Acne Studios flagship store because of its two walls of windows, but light levels change in the evening. Additionally, the Mega ensures the store is evenly illuminated throughout the day and night.
