Designed by architects Bohlin Cywinski Jackson in collaboration with Water Design Inc, the Cantilevered Lap Pool is a magnificent example of indoor zero edge swimming pools, extending above ground and over the neighboring river.
This unique infinity pool offers a spectacular view of the rich surrounding forest through its 25-meter long glass enclosure. Its robust concrete base contrasts the delicate transparent edge, whose floor-to-ceiling glass facade stops the water from pouring into the woods but sets the eyes free to indulge in the gorgeous landscape.
The Cantilevered Lap Pool complements the Farrar residence in Park City, Utah, a luxury mountain home with stunning natural vistas. An elegant stop sign right at the edge wouldn’t hurt, though, if you are a passionate swimmer; an aggressive lap might lead you one step too far, above ground and all alone.
