Aaron Savage Recreates Classic Covers With LEGO

Very few things are cooler than the blending of music and LEGO, and there is no better example than the recreation of classic album covers by Aaron Savage. Using the famous toy bricks, Savage has made a collection that conjures up nostalgic memories of yesteryear.

While growing up, I was often seen with my hands full, in one was my ‘Nevermind’ CD and in the other was my latest LEGO creation (most likely something to do with Star Wars). However, artist Aaron Savage has taken the fusion of music and LEGO a step further by re-imagining famous album art using a vintage, childhood toy. In Savage’s collection, there are obvious standouts like the aforementioned ‘Nevermind’ album, as well as a David Bowie cover, Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ and the classic ‘Saturday Night Fever’ cover.

By blending pop culture with pop culture and creating something with nostalgic appeal, Aaron Savage sure does get it right with this mash-up.
