Local design studio Fala Atelier designs the home dubbed a House Within a Few Lines located in Porto, Portugal. It is defined by its curved walls and ceilings that are inspired by the fabric of a tent which creates the framing of the interior as well. The building replaces what was once a one-bedroom home and the team made the most of the limited space and budget.
The studio shares the design process with Dezeen, stating "The 'frame' imposed by the site was very clear, with several alignments and anchor points. We looked at Robert Mangold a lot for the design – the whole concept of taking a few lines in tension with the frame came from him, and in the end, those lines become surfaces."
