New salon-quality shampoo and conditioner bars, HiBAR is made with no plastic or sulfates, eliminating the need for wasteful single-use plastic packaging. The brand was started by four friends, one of whom, Dion Hughes, has a creative consultancy called Persuasion Arts & Sciences – which led the brand positioning efforts.
The entire enterprise was inspired by a beach vacation where Hughes came face-to-face with the damage we are doing to our planet with a seemingly unstoppable addiction to single-use plastics. To try to get rid of plastic in the bathroom, a line of shampoo and conditioner bars were created that skip the need for plastic packaging, while caring for your hair.
Available in clarifying, moisturizing and volumizing formulas, HiBAR shampoo and conditioner bars are cruelty-free, phthalate-free and sulfate-free. Thoughtfully designed, HiBAR stands up in the shower, sheds moisture, feels luxurious in the hands, and feels comfortable when applied directly to hair. From product form to ingredients and packaging, the mission is to inspire people from the very start of their day to remove single-use plastics from their lives.
Persuasion Arts & Sciences applies creativity to business challenges and opportunities. With HiBAR shampoo and conditioner bars, they've gone one step further, using creativity to solve a real-world problem by building a business and a brand from the ground up.
