Ashlee Wells Jackson has deviated from her usual pin-up photography to create the ‘4th Trimester Bodies Project.’
The project's intent is to embrace the changes of women’s bodies post-pregnancy and showcase their beauty. As a mother of three, Jackson had a difficult time accepting her body's transformation after her most recent pregnancy and realized that this was probably a feeling other mothers struggled with.
The objective of this series is to challenge the demands women are put under to resemble an unreasonable physical ideal and accept the "scars, stripes and stretches" that come with motherhood. Check out Jackson’s inspiring and touching photo series that promotes body acceptance for mothers everywhere.
