Designer Olivier van Herpt Makes Unique Clay Vase Designs

Clothing brand COS is teaming up with Dutch designer Olivier van Herpt to showcase his new 3D-printed clay vases. Drawing inspiration from particular shapes, sizes and textures of COS' Spring/Summer collection, Van Herpt designed a set of six vases using a 3D printing technique.

Van Herpt experimented with both rounded and angular designs in his vases. Van Herpt is credited with saying that he enjoys "creating new shapes and exploring new possibilities through the development of tools."

Van Herpt created a 3D clay printing technique that allows him to experiment with different textures, consistencies and densities, also allowing him to produce some of the thinnest 3D clay vases around.

Olivier van Herpt's 3D-printed clay vases will be displayed at COS' Regent Street store and will close the gap between the fashion and design world.
