At New York Fashion Week, the Rebecca Minkoff Spring 2015 line included 3D fashion that required red and blue glasses to see properly. The last five looks of their NYFW runway show on Friday, September 5th incorporated stereoscopic 3D fabric that required attendees to wear special 3D glasses to fully experience the garments.
As the lights dimmed for the 3D fashion picks, Mashable noted the garments took on a "slight shimmering aura atypical of fabric -- unless one was on acid." While the successfulness of this visual experiment is debated, this is not the first time the brand has incorporated tech elements into their designs. They also announced the launch of their wearable tech bracelets at the show, which will be available to purchase for the holidays.
