Kimihiko Okada, a Japanese architect sculpted a 6.5 metre high landscape made from aluminium foil. He constructed this outdoor artwork for an exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo,Japan. It is outdoors in the Sunken Garden because the structure covers 902 square metres!
Okada’s geographical installation is supported by an internal steel structure as shown in his pictures here. He experiments with ways to change how people perceive space with the materials he uses for his art. Another of his geographical installations ca be seen here.
