For a limited-time, customers will be able to purchase Hostess CupCakes in Mint Chocolate, Strawberry, and Sea Salt Caramel flavors. The former is a frosted chocolate cupcake with a creamy mint filling, while the strawberry version features a frosted strawberry cake base stuffed with a creamy filling. Finally, the Salted Caramel variety combines yellow cake with caramel icing, caramel filling, and a sea salt topping, for the perfect blend of sweet and savory.
When asked about the reasoning behind the 2018 Cupcake Craze, Hostess Brands’ Brand Director for All Day Snacking Keith Peterfeso explained, "As the ultimate affordable indulgence, we can’t ignore the power of the cupcake – worthy of birthday celebrations and after-school snacks, or as the antidote for a mid-afternoon slump."
