The 2014 Captain America movie 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' was just released last week. London-based designer Julian Hakes teamed up with Disney’s Marvel Entertainment LLC to design a women's shoe in honor of its arrival.
Julian is known world-wide for his outlandish but stylish shoe collections, especially his spirally 'Mojito' shoes. This shoe is not your average pump either because it features a giant, aluminum star in place of the heel. The star is a nod to Captain America's iconic and patriotic shield, but the shoe is actually made for the leading woman in the series Natasha Romanoff.
Natasha is a S.H.I.E.L.D agent who's known as the ‘The Black Widow,’ which the shoe is also named. Julian Hakes described the shoe as "a fusion between traditional footwear and the high-tech modern world."
