2012 Social Activism Infographics Shows How Young Folks Can Help

The 2012 Social Activism infographic breaks down statistics to reveal the amount of young folks doing social good for society. The statistics show what this generation cares about and the steps they take in order to achieve social responsibility.

For young adults, it seems reading and commenting on issues is considered social participation. Others are reaching out through social media, discussing the issues with friends and family and of course, donating their own time to causes by volunteering.

The infographic shows that in 2011, seven out of 10 young American adults considered themselves social activists; that's a 45% jump from the year before. Some of the most important issues according to young adults are access to education, cancer, obesity, literacy, access to healthcare, energy conservation and healthcare.
