The 2011 Tokyo Marathon recently just took place where an astonishing 36,000 runners took part. Many of the runners dressed up in hilarious costumes, making the race look like it took place on Halloween. Photographer Jim Grisanzio was in Tokyo at the scene of the race to capture some awesome moments.
Among the funny costumes at the 2011 Tokyo Marathon you will see Darth Vader running with his light saber, Jesus running with the cross on his back and even Spider Man ready to shoot his string. One of my favorites has to be the man with the bright yellow wig of long blonde hair! The event was held on a gorgeous day where the sun was shining. People from all over the world came to run including runners from Kenya, Germany and Russia. This was the fifth year for the annual race and I’d say that it was quite successful!
