Phillip Will Presents the 1970s / GRAFFITI / TODAY Exhibition

The 1970s / GRAFFITI / TODAY exhibition is a new installation of work that studies the different styles of graffiti culture in both Los Angeles and New York over the past five decades. It is presented by the Phillips Auction house and the art is curated by Arnold Lehman and Elizabeth Wallace.

There are almost 150 pieces of work that are cosigned by artists, private collectors, and galleries alike. Some of the works that are displayed include those from Jean-Michel Basquiat, Lee Quinones, CRASH, and Futura. Lehman talks about the exhibition, "which every single American has firsthand experience [...] We look forward to celebrating these works in New York, a city that has played such a significant role in graffiti’s history."
