Vibrant Minimal Art Shows

The 100 Colors Exhibit by Emmanuelle Moureaux Encourages Reflection

100 Colors is the name of a recent art exhibit that focused on a ton of bright hues. Although people can liken 100 Colors to a modern interpretation of a rainbow, there is more to the minimalist show than its comparison to nature. Made up of traditional Japanese paper screens, the vibrant dividers hang from the ceiling in an organized fashion.

Created by Emmanuelle Moureaux, the French-born and Tokyo-based architect, the 100 Colors exhibit was located at the Shinjuku Mitsui Building in Japan. Known for her love of colors, it is no surprise that it would be the focus of her exhibit. Tuija Seipell also notes, "Many of her projects in retail, hospitality and public spaces express some combination of the two, using colorful screens as dividers and using color as a space maker."
