I am a soon-to-be graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University and hoping to make my mark on the world. As a Communication Studies major, I'm captivated by the ways in which people communicate and connect with one another, especially through social media and sites such as Trend Hunter.

I have a passion and appreciation (but not necessarily talent) for all things artistic and creative, with a focus on paintings, collages and photographs. I am continually inspired by the work people create by the power of their own hands.

What is unique that's not in your bio?

I have travelled to Turkey, Italy, Greece, Spain and Egypt, and am continually inspired by both the people and places. Their various cultures are so different from anything I had experienced before, and I feel we have so much to learn from every corner of the world.

What's your favorite accomplishment?

I bake really amazing chocolate chip banana bread. Samples by request.

How do you define cool?

Cool is entirely subjective.

What is your secret to uncovering trends?

My vast collection of magazines. I love reading back issues and observing the cyclical nature of fashion, music and lifestyle. My favourites include Nylon, Vanity Fair and Strut.

What do you enjoy most about Trend Hunter?

The fact that it is viewed by so many people around the world. Trend Hunter is truly a global space where everyone can contribute and participate.

What is your favorite trend?

It changes daily! But I'm attracted to anything new and sustainable, creative and expressive.

What are your tips for writing a juicy post?

Interesting content. It's hard to make something out of nothing, so to speak, and writing about something that excites and inspires will shine through when it is being talked about.

How do you reset to be creative?

I watch Almost Famous and bake chocolate chip banana bread!

What inspires or excites you?

The possibilities we create for ourselves every single day. The trends we follow are envisioned and produced as part of our humanity. It is through our own minds that we create the 'next big thing', and that is beyond exciting!
