UNIQUE VEGAN LUXURY FASHION DESIGNER HANDBAGS AND ACCESSORIES MADE OF INNOVATIVE GREEN MATERIALS AS A REPLACEMENT OF LUXURY ANIMAL LEATHER GOODS - VEGAN AND PETA APPROVED VEGAN
The Berlin fashion designer label LUCKYNELLY provides fashionable and luxurious handbags and other accessories that are 100% vegan.
For LUCKYNELLY accessories is used primarily the green material cork, but also such innovative and sustainable materials as Real Sewable Wood and Real Sewable Slatestone, Piñatex (“Leather” made from Pineapple Fibers), Muskin (Mushroom “Leather”), Apple Leather (“Leather” made from apple waste) and Jacroki (Italian washable paper), but no PVC or other harmful materials.
LUCKYNELLY does not support the use of animals for fashion and shows that innovative alternatives to (exotic) animal leather can be also very stylish and exclusive.
“We would like to encourage more people to opt against fashion, that is made of animals, because they are kept, bred and killed mostly under terrible conditions. This includes fur, leather, silk and wool. ”
The manufacturing company is based in Milan, Italy and Berlin, Germany
My vegan luxury handbags and accessories brand LUCKYNELLY, established in 2012 was named after my over all loved Bearded Collie dog NELLY and my cute little lionhead rabbit, LUCKY to be always be remembered of them and to keep them always in my heart and in each product we create here in Berlin.
Let´s start saving our planet with vegan eco and sustainable luxurious fashion things.
Christine Rochlitz - Business owner and head designer of LUCKYNELLY.
What is unique that's not in your bio?
My name is Christine Rochlitz, I am a fashion designer based in Berlin and would like to introduce you my label LUCKYNELLY. The animal protection is very important to me, so I decided to develop vegan accessories like bags and belts. In this context, I use extraordinary materials such as genuine sewable wood and sewable slate stone, as well as cork with an animal and exotic surface. It reminiscent on genuine leather, but it is created in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. In addition to the high quality of the accessories, the production process is also very important to us, so we work together with an manufactury in Milan and Germany for an excellent craftsmanship.
The brand is aimed at self-confident and modern women, who not only attach importance to consciously produced products, but also prefer luxurious design. In 2014, LUCKYNELLY won the PETA Vegan Fashion Award in the "Best Accessory for Ladies" category with a wooden belt. Since then, LUCKYNELLY has cooperated very closely with the PETA organization and therefore 5 euros of every product is spend to the animal welfare. The unique style also attracted attention and recognition at the British VOGUE, ELLE, Harper's Bazaar and Cosmopolitan, which published in printed issues.
As I am such an „innovative and sustainable ecological vegan material stalker“ to find always the newest and best eco alternatives to animal leahter, with my Genuine Sewable Wood, Real Sewable Slate Stone (CoolStone), Muskin (Mushroom Leather), Piñatex (Ananas Leather), Foldable Ceramic, Jacroki (Italian washable paper), to name a few, I found the 100% vegan and 100% recyclable APPLE LEATHER made of apples waste for my LUCKYNELLY Vegan Luxury Fashion Handbags and Accessories, that are PETA Approved Vegan.
What's your favorite accomplishment?
I CREATED WITH LUCKYNELLY - BERLIN THE WORLD´S FIRST VEGAN LUXURY PAPER BAG MADE FROM APPLES.
ABOUT THE APPLE "LEATHER":
When I had a trip to London in January this year together with my dear and lovely fashion design friend Malina Sebastian to the Future Fashion Fabrics Fair – The sustainable angel - we found this incredible and fantastic APPLE LEATHER and we both fell absolutely in love with immediately.
Malina created a wonderful skirt and a trouser of it for her new collection – shown at BERLIN FASHION WEEK in July and I made THE WORLD´S FIRST VEGAN LUXURY UNISEX PAPER BAG MADE OF APPLES. The design is very clean and simple and with in the white color it is perfect for a lady, her husband and her daughter or son. I just produce the bags by myself. Handmade in Germany – transparent – fair. All metal details are Made in Italy.
About the apple leather production:
APPLE LEATHER. This innovative „vegan leather“ is made of 80 % apples waste from apple juice production, dryed and sprayed on an cotton backing to give the flexibility and 100% biodegradable.
NELLY, my over all loved dog (Bearded Collie) and one of the muses for my vegan luxury brand name LUCKYNELLY, established in 2012, (the other is my cute little rabbit, LUCKY – a lionhead rabbit) was absolutely impressed of the bag, even it doesn´t smell like apples – LOL ;)
