From Busily Patterned Editorials to Demure Photoshoots

Baroque fashion may have originated in the 17th century during the renaissance period, but it has made a comeback within the fashion realm.
In all aspects of society and within different art forms, the baroque period aimed to create drama, exuberance and grandeur. The fashion world has taken the baroque style as inspiration, which is made apparent in either the silhouettes of the garments or the bold and magnificent prints. Baroque patterns can be seen dominating the fall and winter fashion runways, which demonstrates that designers are heading towards a more exaggerated and overall opulent look to its pieces. Though this look can be a bit overwhelming, this year it is appropriate to wear these baroque fashion styles with more toned down accessories to really create an overall sense of awe when walking around town.
