This piece of machinery is absolutely massive. The world’s largest digger/trencher stands at a remarkable 215 meters long (2 1/2 football fields) and weighs a ridiculous 45,000 tonnes.
The sole purpose of this behemoth is to dig; that’s it, that’s all. It is self-propelled (I don’t know how you’d move it any other way) and can dig up to 10 meters per minute (I’m at about 8 or 9…not).
This beast of a machine is larger than a load of buildings we see everyday and it is extremely beneficial when somebody needs to get to the “bottom” of something.
