Facebook Launched Workplace Rooms to Host Professional Meetings
Daniel Johnson — May 23, 2020 — Tech
Facebook created a solution for professional video calls, named Workplace Rooms. Workplace Rooms comes shortly after the platform created Messenger Rooms, which is a similar feature for friendly video chats. Workplace rooms provide a virtual place for meetings to help, with up to 50 people at once. Additionally, there is no time restriction on the length of time a meeting runs for. People in a Workplace Room can access chat, News Feed, and Portal functions in order to communicate during a meeting.
It is clear that Facebook is investing resources into providing video chat solutions. This is becoming more and more important as workplaces are navigating working from home for extended periods of time.
