TobeUs wooden toy cars is a project that was born out of designer Matteo Ragni’s frustration out of seeing his child interact with his toys. He saw that the child would either break his toys due to their poor quality, get bored of them or throw them away.
Designer took the matter in hand and started designing functional toy cars out of cedar wood, a strong and sweet-scented material, with the aim of creating objects that children can learn to love and treasure.
Soon after becoming a collaborative project, 100 of these brilliantly designed wooden toy cars were shown in exhibition at Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia in Milano under the name of ‘100% TobeUs: 100 designers for 100 new toy cars.’
