For its second presentation at Milan Design Week, the Ventura Centrale venue boasts architect Stephan Hürlemann and Swiss furniture manufacturer Horgenglarus' wooden puppets, as well as Surface Magazine and David Rockwell's contemporary take on the American Diner.
The creative project with the wooden puppets is dubbed 'Rissen mit Zwerg,' which translates to "Giants with Dward" from German. It compromises seven odd-looking "wooden giants" that are three meters tall. The sculptures are manufactured with century-old furniture pieces from Horgenglarus' archive and are fully movable through a series of pulleys.
The second aspect of Ventura Centrale's exhibit is more interactive. Surface Magazine x David Rockwell's pop-up dinner is a place for visitors to sit, rest, socialize and have a snack.
